by 128 pins to win the Profes-
sional Bowlers Association Wine
Country West/Northwest Open presented by Roto Grip at Double Decker Lanes Sun-
day.
Weier finished with an 8-2 match play record and a total of 4,044 pins for 18 games,
including match play bonus pins, to win the $2,000 first prize. This was Weier‘s first
PBA West Region title of the year and the third of his career.
The next West Region event will be the Sands Regency PBA/PBA50 Doubles pre-
sented by MOTIV at High Sierra Lanes in Reno, Nev., June 23-25.

Blanchard, Johns win PBA Northwest Regional titles
Puyallup, Wash. (May 7, 2017)
– Josh Blanchard of Mesa , Ariz., posted a 5-4-
1 match play record and knocked down 4,136 pins Sunday to win his 11th career
regional title in the PBA Sunset Automotive Group Open presented by US Foods
at Daffodil Bowl.
Blanchard, who earned $2,000, defeated Chris Barnes of Double Oak, Texas, by
48 pins for the title. Barnes had an 8-2 match play record and 4,088 pins for his
18 games including match play bonus pins.
In the companion PBA50 Daffodil Bowl Open presented by Sunset Chevrolet,
Pat Johns of Seattle, Wash., went 4-1-1 and knocked down 2,930 total pins to top
amateur Jimmie Dillingham of Tacoma, Wash., for his first Northwest PBA50 Re-
gional title. Dillingham had a 4-2 match play record and 2,895 pins for 14 games
including match play bonus pins.

Tom Daugherty Wins PBA Hawaii West/Northwest Open
Hickam AFB, Hawaii (April 30, 2017)
– Tom Daugherty of Riverview, Fla., de-
feated Stuart Williams of Phoenix, Ariz., 215-186, to win the Professional Bowlers
Association Hickam AFB West/Northwest Open presented by Ebonite at Hickam
Lanes Sunday to complete a sweep of the top two places in the final event of the
PBA West and Northwest Region‘s annual Hawaii tripleheader series.
After Williams defeated Daugherty, 199-191, to win the PBA Hawaii West/
Northwest Open presented by Ebonite at Schofield Army Base Lanes on April 23
to kick off the series, the top two swapped places in the Ft. Shafter Army Base
event three days later when Daugherty posted an 18-game total of 4,215 pins to
top Williams by 32 pins in winning the PBA Fort Shafter West/Northwest Hawaii
Open presented by Ebonite.
With his win Sunday at Hickam, Daugherty has now won 14 regional titles. He
also received $2,000 for his win.
Daugherty defeated Cameron Weier of Tacoma, Wash., 199-185, and Williams
defeated Ben Canfield of Tempe, Ariz., 226-181, in the semifinal round to set up
the Hickam championship match. Williams earned $1,200 for second place. Weier
and Canfield each earned $1,000 as semifinal round loses.
