Butturff, Mohr, Arcaro Win PBA
Sands Regency
Winter Classic Titles
Reno, Nev. (September 18, 2016)
– Jakob Butturff of
Chandler, Ariz., posted a 7-5 match play record and a
24-game total of 5,752 pins Sunday to win his sixth
QubicaAMF PBA Regional title in the PBA Sands Re-
gency West/Northwest Fall Classic Open presented by
Storm, concluding the PBA Northwest and West Re-
gions’ traditional tripleheader weekend at the National
Bowling Stadium.
Butturff, who earned $2,000, defeated Darren Tang of
San Francisco by 166 pins for his sixth 2016 and ca-
reer title to go along with his first PBA Tour title, won in
the PBA Xtra Frame Lubbock Sports Open earlier in
the year. Tang had an 8-4 match play record and 5,586
pins.
In the companion PBA50 Sands Regency Open, Ron
Mohr of Las Vegas went 8-2 and knocked down 5,272
total pins for 22 games to top Derek Gregory of Chow-
chilla, Calif., for his 17th PBA50 regional title. Gregory
had 4,803 pins. Mohr won $1,500 and Gregory re-
ceived $1,000
Leading into the weekend, Chris Arcaro of Wilming-
ton, N.C., defeated non-member Matthew Anderson of
Las Vegas, 236-197, to win Friday’s PBA Sands Re-
gency Fall Challenge presented by Radical. The Chal-
lenge was open to players who had never won a PBA
title. With his win, Arcaro became eligible to enter the
2017 FireLake PBA Tournament of Champions.

Josh Blanchard Wins
PBA West Aquimo Open
Mesa, Ariz. (August 28, 2016) – Josh Blanchard of
Mesa, Ariz., defeated Michael Haugen Jr. of Phoenix,
Ariz., 257-196, to win the Professional Bowlers Asso-
ciation Aquimo Open presented by Columbia 300 at
Mesa East Bowl on Sunday.
Blanchard collected his 10th QubicaAMF PBA Re-
gional title along with a $3,000 prize.
In the semifinal round, Blanchard defeated non-
member Chris Klerk of Chandler, Ariz., 204-150, while
Haugen defeated Tommy Jones of Simpsonville, S.C.,
200-188, to set up the championship match. Haugen
earned $1,500 for second place. Klerk and Jones each
earned $1,100 as semifinal round loser.

tori of Las Vegas, posted a 7-3 match play record and a
combined 18-game total of 8,699 pins Sunday to win
the PBA Tony Reyes Memorial Member/Non-Member
Doubles at 4

Street Bowl.
Tang and Hattori defeated Dan Long of Bakersfield,
Calif. and non-member Anthony Thompson of Redding,
Calif., who had a 7-3 match play record and 8,677 pins.
Tang and Hattori shared the $4,000 first prize. Long
and Thompson earned $3,000.
The Tony Reyes Memorial, which is named in honor
of the late PBA Tour champion who died in 2012, was
part of the QubicaAMF PBA Regional Tour. For more
