9 Tap Tour
(From page 9)
received some good pointers from
Mr. Jimmy G.
and
went out and executed in the 3rd squad. Jimmy cur-
rently works for IBEW 357, plays golf and dominoes
during his free time. Jimmy has become another Tour
regular, and we would like to congratulate him on his
win and his support! Way to Go
Jimmy Bell Jr.
!
Two final notes........
The Tour will be back at
Silver
Nugget on October 29th
which is also our
1st An-
nual Halloween Potluck
.
This event will be open to bowlers and their family
members. Food sign up sheets will return next week at
Suncoast or you can text/call me at
ith
the dish you’d like to showcase.
Our second tour stop at the luxurious
Red Rock
Lanes
produced a brand new Tour Champion! The
field was small but the competition was big! With 36
entries total, 7 members made the 'Cash List'. The cut
line was a very nice 921 with the champ leading the
way with a 987.
Brian Blackman
is on a 9-Tap roll as
he won
$100.00
from the Jackpot two tournaments in a
row! It sure pays to make that $4 investment. The
Jackpot is now over
$3000.00
and on its way
to
$4k
where the payout rules get even sweeter! The
Pro Pot also got a shot in the arm as the Top 3 were in
for different amounts. The pot now stands at
$1,393.00.
Ann McGee
led the way with her
911
series early
on. With the target on her back, the 1pm squad took to
the lanes. 3 Members passed Ann with scores of 987,
954 and 935. A new Top 3 was established with just
one squad left for the day.
Bruce Smith, Terry
Sherman and Brian Blackman
were hoping for the
best as the new leaders. Terry, however, decided to re
-enter to improve his chances. As it turned out, Bruce's
score would hold off two more challengers;
Dale Sav-
age and Shane Ahnee.
Dale put together 4 solid
games but could only get
to
959
while Shane closed with
2 s t r o n g g ame s f o r
his
957
series. Bruce took the
Top Spot for
$440.00,
Dale
( 1 s t t i m e c a s h e r )
won
$326.00
while Shane
cashed for
$266.00.
Congratu-
lations to our new Champ,
Dale and Shane.
Mr. Bruce Smith, 30 years+
as a bowler, works for Scientific Games, which means
he knows all about slots and poker machines.....he told
me he doesn't gamble and plans to take his wife, Liz,
out for a special B-Day dinner with his winnings! Bruce
made his way to the winner's circle this week using an
Ebonite Gamebreaker 2 drilled up by
Chris over at K
& K at Gold Coast
. His four solid games of 254-212-
204-221 plus handicap was enough to take first.
He told me got some lucky "spills" when he hit the
headpin full on and got some lucky no tap
strikes. Bruce's previous best finish was 6th place on
the Tour. Congratulations on your win Bruce, enjoy
that dinner with your wife!
