Haugen Jr., Gregory, Parkin Triumph in PBA West Region
“Tripleheader
Montclair, Calif. (October 2, 2016)
– Michael Haugen Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; Derek
Gregory of Chowchilla, Calif., and Missy Parkin of Laguna Hills, Calif., were victories
in a PBA West Region tripleheader sponsored by Parkin’s Bowling Supply at
Bowlium Lanes Sunday.
Haugen posted a 9-3 match play record and a 20-game total of 4,762 pins, includ-
ing match play bonus pins, to win Sunday’s PBA Parkin’s Bowling Supply Open, a
standard PBA West Regional event, by 56 pins over n- Kevin Gagnon of Moreno
Valley, Calif.
Gregory won the PBA50 portion of the tripleheader with a 7-2-1 match play record
and 4,118 total pins, beating Darron Peters of Temecula, Calif. by 75 pins for the
$1,500 first prize.
Parkin, the first woman to join the PBA and the only woman to win three standard
PBA Regional titles won this event for the second year in a row. Parkin had a 3-3
match play record and knocked down 3,146 total pins for her 14 games to top n-
Laura Lee Daniel of Corona, Calif., for the win and a $1,000 prize. Daniel had 3,108
pins.
