Very good early transition piece

The Brunswick Combat Hybrid is one of those rare balls that just flat-out earns a permanent spot in the bag.

This ball checks all the boxes. It’s clean enough through the front to get down the lane without burning up, but it still reads the midlane with authority and delivers a strong, continuous motion through the pins. The shape is incredibly usable—smooth where you need control, but with enough backend to carry from multiple angles.

What really separates the Combat Hybrid is its versatility. You can play it straighter and let it read early, or move left and open your angles without it getting jumpy or over/under. It blends the lane extremely well, especially on typical house shots that tend to get cliffed or tricky as they transition.

Carry is another huge strength. This ball doesn’t quit—it goes through the pins hard and keeps the corners honest. It’s the kind of reaction that makes you feel like you can strike even when you’re not perfect.
