I received mine in a BW Mystery Box after requesting something that could easily clear the fronts, rev up early in the mids, and have the strength to pop off the friction in the backend and continue through the pins. BW delivered on that request with this one.
The ball motion on this piece is fantastic. Certainly a ball that you want to move in with but doesn't over read the friction. For a shinny asym, it has predictable and rounded shape that doesn't get squirrely at the back of the lane.
Got this with the mystery ball after describing what I needed (Strong/Sharp). I wouldn't say this ball is too sharp by any means, but VERY continuous. I have never had any of the collision balls prior to this and I've heard some mixed reviews on the prior collisions, so I didn't know what to expect, but so far, this is my new favorite ball. I typically knock the polish off of balls, but I have left the polish on this. Core revs up quick in the midlane and it makes a strong move off the breakpoint. I've been able to use this on fresh THS as well as a bit of burn, but one the heads are gone and there's plenty of friction, you might switch to a weaker ball.
Got this as a surprise ball and was very excited to see this in the box! I'm a huge fan of DV8's Collision line of balls. My other Collision line balls are the Brutal and the Wicked. This Severe definitely did not disappoint. I usually take the compound off the balls, but decided to leave it on this one and glad I did, because it was super strong right out of the box. This is another ball that is staying in my bag for a while!
