Hammer Raw Black/Grey – A Reliable Dry Lane Performer

The Hammer Raw Black/Grey packs a surprising amount of punch for an entry-level ball designed for drier conditions.

As expected, this isn’t a ball I’d try to use on fresh oil or heavier volumes. It simply isn’t built for that. But once the lanes get blown up and the heads are fried, this ball really comes into its own. It gets through the front part of the lane with ease and provides a smooth, dependable motion to the pocket without overreacting.

What I appreciate most is how reliable it is. When stronger equipment starts hooking too early or becoming difficult to control, I know I can switch to the Raw Black/Grey and trust what it’s going to do.

Because of how useful it’s been on summer conditions, this ball has earned a spot in my main six-ball bag. I’ll reevaluate its place once the heavier fall league conditions return, but for dry lanes and late transition, it’s been an excellent option that has exceeded my expectations for a lower-priced performance ball.

Hammer Raw Black & Grey Solid

Well I just recently purchased this ball. I actually owned the original all black raw solid. I think the solid version of these balls are damn good for the price point. In my opinion it rolls damn good on a THS.

If you're someone with higher revs. Depending on your house and friction on the lanes. This can be a game one ball even. But game 2 and 3 it's really good, but some small adjustments.

I personally won't drill and throw this ball till fall season. Which it will be my ball 3. But.. I think Depending on the night and others bowling on the pair. I wouldn't shy away from trying to throw this ball in game one. But for most bowlers I think it's a very good step down game 2/3 ball. As I just find the solid cover blends the cliff really well in my opinion. I definitely highly recommend the solid version of the raw series.
