Details
The Storm EquinoX Hybrid is built to be something every bowler wants from a high-performance ball: strong without being overly condition-specific. Storm took the proven EquinoX platform and created its most balanced version yet, giving you the traction and overall hook of a big asymmetric ball with a reaction you can trust for more games throughout a block.
The key is the A2S Hybrid Reactive coverstock. By blending solid and pearl characteristics, A2S Hybrid provides dependable grip through the heart of the lane without sacrificing energy downlane. Compared to a traditional strong solid, the EquinoX Hybrid gives you a little more freedom through the front of the lane while still producing the midlane read needed when there's oil on the lane.
Inside is Storm's Solarion A.I. Asymmetric Core, featuring a low RG and high differential design that revs quickly and creates plenty of flare. The unique tri-cylindrical shape is designed to get the ball started without burning through its energy too early, helping create a powerful, continuous finish through the pins. With a 2.47 RG, .054 differential, and .016 intermediate differential at 15 pounds, there's plenty of engine underneath the cover.
The result is a high-performance asymmetric that doesn't have to come out of your hand as soon as the lanes begin to transition. If you're looking for a strong first ball out of the bag that can stay in play longer than many traditional "big balls," the EquinoX Hybrid fills that role exceptionally well.
